Our Vision Statement

Bay Area Tamil Catholic Community is committed to build and nurture a Trusting, Loving, Caring, and Open community to grow in CATHOLIC FAITH oriented Tamil Culture and to reach out to the like minded people to lead a spiritual and meaningful life in Bay Area.

 

Our Mission Statement

Based on the Gospel Values, the Bay Area Tamil Catholic Community is a non profit organization that strives to grow as a believing, worshipping and loving Community while at the same time it facilitates knowledge, appreciation and love of Tamil culture and language in its liturgical celebrations and other activities.

 

Our Core Values

Christ Centered - Doing everything in accordance with Colossians 3:17 - “Whatever you do, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ”. Represent & Enrich our CATHOLIC Faith and Values.

 

Outreach - We are called by Christ to love our neighbor as ourselves. (Luke 10:27). Reach out to people in need, especially in our home land to share Christ's love in our words and deeds.

 

Compassion – We open our hearts to provide moral and spiritual support and a network structure for Tamil Catholic families, teens and kids. Enable and Enrich our children to achieve a well rounded growth both spiritual and social.

 

Tamil Culture - Grow and Blossom in to Tamil Culture.

 

Integrity - Conduct all activities with integrity, encompassing trust, honesty and fairness in all actions. We will respect confidentiality and privacy of others, and treat everyone fairly and respectfully to create a positive, successful and open community for everyone.

 

Spirit of Cooperation - Sharing of knowledge and resources for the benefit and development of our community. Develop collaborative solutions for our community through team work.

 

Community focus - We follow the example of Jesus Christ’s servant leadership to build our community for everyone. Effective Community centered service by listening and being flexible, responsive and sensitive to the community's needs.

 

Our Logo

 

Bay Area Tamil Catholic Community (BATCC) Logo

 

The Logo signifies the Christian Mystery of the MOST HOLY TRINITY, and it contains   three elements.

                                                                        

1) The background solid circle signifies God the Father from whom proceed the Son and the Holy Spirit. 

2) The Cross is the symbol for the Son of God – Jesus Christ. 

3) The set of stylized "flames of fire" signifies the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove (also can be perceived as a styled version of a lamp symbolism of our Tamil culture.)

 

As we all know the Tamil Text in the Logo identifies our Tamil identity as well as our motto.  

 

BATCC is acronym for the name of our Organization: Bay Area Tamil Catholic Community.
