Service Schedule
Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
First of all we would like to congratulate all our children who came forward
to serve the Lord! Kudos
to the parents who encouraged and guided them. It has been a great learning experience for
our children and for us as well.
Encourage and appreciate them all the more! Find attached the next Altar Service
schedule. If you have any questions or
concerns, kindly let RC know
Many parents personally told me the change they saw in their child after the
training and service. I just wanted to
share couple of them here.
"I
always use to read Bible for my children before they go to bed. But, after attending the training, now they
read it by themselves and pray"
"My child was reading and practicing prayers since this morning as she
had Altar Service today. She now knows
all prayers by heart"
All that we had to do was to sow a seed into their fertile soul. Nourish
that seed by making sure that this does not become just a ritual for them.
Every time they do, they should realize the meaning and value of it and do it
sincerely.
I have a suggestion for our children to improve further --
As we have mass once in a month, it takes more than 6 months for a child to
get another chance to serve. In other words, every time it is like a brand new
experience for them. To alleviate this problem, encourage
them to sign up for Altar Service in your own parish where you go to mass for
the other 3 weeks. This way
they'll be very well in touch with the procedure and fear will easily go
away. Among the first batch that served,
I saw clear difference in children who also serve in their own parish. Hence, encourage your child to sign up for
this service in your own parish as well.
